Canvas wall art paintings with animals as their subject have a fan following of their own. Such art forms add a lot of meaning and character to a home or office and are now becoming increasingly popular with many interior decorators. Oil paintings that are hand painted have a unique personal touch and they do add to the elegance and sophistication of a room. Many animal art works subjects are wild animals like the elephant, tiger, lion. While there are of course many who love to possess the painting of a horse or a dog or a cat. Horse, dogs and cats are animals that are very close to man. They are more often than not treated like a member of the family! Artists who paint such animals are invariably those who have a love for these animals. This is why they are drawn in such detail – with very expressive eyes and life like colors and texture. Four What Its Worth is a four piece canvas wall art. This canvas wall art has an Asian theme with Chinese different characters in each of the four pieces. The colors used by the artist are earth tone and the effect is matt. All the four canvas pieces that make up this wall art are of the same size, rectangular pieces and have a figure plane of deep earthy brown - the color of wet mud. On these he has drawn hazy spherical shapes in bright green, red, orange and blue. Each of them has a Chinese symbol or character painted in black in the middle. Chinese symbols and artifacts are known to be good luck charms and this concept has caught on into the western world too. There are many houses in the US that display Chinese symbols or artifacts in their homes. Such symbols are associated with prosperity and affluence. This four piece canvas wall art is one such Asian art that could be displayed for its visual appeal or for the fact that it is a good luck charm.

Floral art in any form fascinates many art lovers. It is perhaps because floral blooms are transient and to capture flowers in their bloom and immortalizing then in canvas paintings gives this beauty a permanence that can be enjoyed forever and ever. This beautiful three piece canvas art shows three lovely flowers blooming. These flowers are painted larger than life size and each of them are placed in different colored picture planes. Three flowers too are of different colors and the artist has added his innovative touch in depicting two of these flowers in their canvas pieces upside down. While one can place these canvases straight there is a unique elegance in this depiction. The colors used are blue, pink and lilac which are cool and soothing colors. The effect is indeed visually appealing. This wall art would look splendid on the walls of a large living room especially when they are displayed in subdued lighting.

Spending an evening in the most romantic of all cities - Paris is something every one of us have fantasized about. This canvas art is merely an extension of this fantasy. The artist has indeed captured the spirit of Paris showing the inimitable Eiffel Tower bathed in the evening sunlight. The dusk sky itself is a beautiful golden yellow and is gradually darkening to bring on the beautiful lights of Paree! One cannot help being taken in by the large wine goblet with its amber liquid bubbling to frothing to set the mood for an enjoyable and very momentous evening in this beautiful city. Man’s marvelous creation, the Eiffel and the elixir of life - a glass of glorious wine blend in so well in this canvas that it takes you right in to the heart of the city even if you are mile away. This beautiful canvas wall art, is well suited to be displayed on the walls of the living room of an apartment or on the walls of a travel and tourism business establishments.

This painting has a very European feel to it, with colors that are reminiscent of Van Gogh’s art. While it is evident that the scene is a nighttime one, the overall “feel”, is not one of darkness (i.e., “doom and gloom”, sadness, etc.), but rather of quietness and serenity.

The colors and shades are very deep, and draw you in. You can almost picture yourself sitting at one of the tables, at a very late hour, listening to the night sounds of the city as it slowly winds down, signaling the end of a very satisfying day.

You gotta love cityscape scenes, especially on beautifully painted canvas!  Gateway to the West is a magnificent cityscape oil painting that proudly displays the Saint Louis Arch in the center of the piece. I found this in a small gallery in downtown STL and just had to have it. The color and detail in the painting is amazing, and it’s now one of my favorite pieces of wall art. The artist has a line of these for about a dozen popular cities in the United States.

Here is another one of my favorite Van Gogh’s.. The colors and the brush stroke patterns that he utilizes in his paintings are just magnificent. I have always wanted to see an original Van Gogh painting in person, and hopefully I will be able to someday. Doctor Gachet looks awfully depressed in this portrayal, or maybe he’s just contemplating something? I really wish that Vincent Van Gogh would have got around to painting more people. I think he does an excellent job expressing emotion through his art.

This famous painting titled “The Scream” was painted by Edvard Munch in 1893, and then again in 1910. I can easily say that this work or art is one of my favorite famous paintings of all time. Many reproductions have been made of this piece, and it is a very popular seller as a print or as a canvas art reproduction. Many art theorists say that the person depicted is not screaming at all, but expressing his feelings of shock and awe at the horror of what is going on around him. I guess we’ll never really know what has him so mortified.

The infamous “Starry Night” by Vincent Van Gogh is arguably one of the most famous paintings ever.. But why? It’s really not that cool, to me anyways…

There are tons of other great paintings and art collections that I would much rather spend my time looking at.. However, to give Van Gogh some credit, his portrait collection is most certainly worth it’s weight in gold.
